Methods

In a recent study, it was found that 500 adolescents and adults were part of a representative sample of individuals who were residents of Victoria, Australia. The participants were asked some questions about their gambling behaviour, whether it was linked with the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) or not. The candidates and the participants asked about their harms that are associated with the electronic gambling machines, sports betting, horse betting, and casino gambling. They also asked the extent to which they agree or disagree with gambling reduction strategies and planning. 

Result 

One-third of the participants who were affected by gambling were at risk and experienced the risk some level from the gambling games. From the above gambling data, 83 participants have a recorded score that indicates there will be a problem with gambling.  At least one in five participants will gamble on the EGMs at least on a month.
